Bexley 11 Plus
The 11+ Exam in Bexley takes place in Sept 2015 for Year 6 students.
The exam is made up of two parts:
- Verbal Ability (English): 45 Min
- Non Verbal Ability (Maths and Non Verbal Reasoning) 45 Min
There will be two 45 minute tests; the papers will be divided into smaller individually timed sections. Each paper will consist of a mixture of questions from the four subjects. The questions will be multiple-choice based.
English
The English (otherwise known as Verbal Reasoning) is made up of the following topics:
- Comprehension
- Fill in the missing blanks (CLOZE tests)
- Vocabulary (Opposites and Similar Meanings)
English paper makes up 50 % of the total exam mark
Maths
The Maths Exam is made up of numerical problems both short and long.
Maths paper makes up 25% of the total exam mark
The non verbal reasoning made up puzzles tests.
NVR paper makes up 25% of the total exam mark

Passing the Bexley 11+ allows you to apply to the following 4 schools
- Bexley Grammar (Mixed)
- Chislehurst and Sidcup Grammar(Mixed)
- Beths (Boys)
- Townley Grammar (Girls)
